A campaign by local people persuaded the Diocese of Chelmsford to give them a bombed out church in Canning Town.

We helped them by raising cash from the Heritage Lottery Fund, selecting a professional team to carry out the renovations, and developing a strong business plan involving a range of uses.

Now their charity has total financial independence and the community has a health centre, managed workspace and community facilities. They have gone on to set up a much needed childcare centre on a nearby site.
